Concentration rules

  • All the cards are laid face down.
  • Turn over any two cards. If they have the same rank and color (spades with clubs, hearts with diamonds), they are a pair and you keep them.
  • If they don't match, both turn back over. Try to remember where each card was.
  • Match every pair to win. Your time and turns (each time you turn over two cards) are recorded.

Tips to clear faster

At the start, turn cards over in order from one corner. It makes positions easier to remember.

If your first card is one you've seen before, turn over its partner where you remember it.

If your first card is new, turn over another unseen card second, so you learn more.

Check the color as well as the rank. A black 7 pairs with the other black 7, a red 7 with the other red 7.

Which two cards make a pair?

Two cards of the same rank and color: spades with clubs, hearts with diamonds. Every card has exactly one partner.

Easy has 8 pairs (16 cards), Normal 12 pairs (24), Hard 18 pairs (36) and Expert 24 pairs (48).
