About Daily FreeCell

4 cells and 3 cells each get one game number per day, and everyone plays the same one. It changes at midnight on your device.

Players who win without hints are ranked by time. Only your first win of the day counts; replaying the same number doesn't change your rank.

Your time runs from when you start until you win, even if you leave the page.

Every number is verified winnable by a program.

FreeCell rules

All 52 cards are dealt face up into eight columns. Win by building every suit from Ace to King on the four foundations (top right).

In the columns, place a card on one that is one higher and the opposite color (a red 7 on a black 8).

Any single card can go into a free cell (top left).

Any card can go into an empty column.

You can move a run of up to (free cells + 1) cards, doubled for each empty column. When moving into an empty column, that column doesn't count.

Cards on the foundations stay there. Safe cards, like Aces and twos, move to the foundations automatically.

FAQ

Can every game be won?

Every game number we serve has been solved by a program, and the winning moves replayed from the start, before it reaches you. That doesn't mean any line of play wins; if you get stuck, undo as far back as you like.

What is a game number?

It's the same numbering as Windows FreeCell. The same number always gives the same deal, for everyone. We only serve numbers our program has verified winnable, not every Windows number. Daily FreeCell swaps the suits (spades with clubs, hearts with diamonds) so outside solutions can't be used, and shows the number after you win.

4 cells or 3 cells?

Start with 4 cells. When you're comfortable, try 3 cells: you can move fewer cards at once.

Is it free?

Yes. Both rules are free and unlimited. No sign-up.

How do I move cards?

Tap a card and it moves to a place where it fits (foundation, then a column, then a free cell, then an empty column). Drag to choose any spot. When every column is in order, Auto-finish appears.

Will I lose my game if I leave?

No. Open the same page on the same device and browser to continue where you left off.
