New to sudoku? The rules are simple

Running a sudoku session

  1. 1

Start with one Easy page per person. Pairs or small groups sharing one page works well too, since people can talk it through.

  2. 2

Before handing out pages, draw one puzzle on a whiteboard and fill in one square together where only one number fits. It makes explaining the rules quick.

  3. 3

Set a time limit (for example, 15 minutes). Filling in some of the squares is plenty.

  4. 4

Keep the answer pages (11–13) yourself and use them to check at the end.

  5. 5

Once Easy feels comfortable, move on to Medium.
